Udo Seckelmann is the head of the Gambling and Crypto department at Bichara e Motta Advogados. Internationally recognized in the Gaming Law category of the prestigious Lexology Index (Who’s Who Legal), he is a lawyer graduated from PUC-RJ (2017) and holds a master’s degree (LL.M) in International Sports Law from the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE) in Madrid, Spain (2019). After years of experience in litigation before the CBF, FIFA, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS/CAS), and several sports dispute resolution bodies, as well as providing advisory and consultancy services to various players in the sports market – such as athletes, coaches, agents, investors, clubs, federations, and confederations – he currently works in the gaming and betting sector, providing legal advice to betting operators, game providers, platform and sportsbook suppliers, testing laboratories, sports data collection companies, betting monitoring companies, affiliates, influencers, and tipsters.
He is currently a member of the National Academy of Sports Law (ANDD-Labs), a member of the Special Commission on Sports Betting, Lotteries, and Entertainment Law of the OAB/RJ, a professor in the legal training program for football at CBF Academy, coordinator of the Gambling Law course at Future Law, professor of the Sports Betting course at GoUp Football, and a monthly columnist for Poder360
